Cuffing around ankles

Skin feels lumpy and looks dimpled

Stage 1: Early Stage
Often overlooked or misdiagnosed.
Appearance:

Skin appears smooth and even

Fat distribution is symmetrical (both legs and/or arms)

May look like normal weight gain
Symptoms:

Easy bruising

Tenderness or pain in fat tissue

Feeling of heaviness in limbs
Stage 2: Moderate
This is when many women begin to realize something is different.
Appearance

Skin becomes uneven or dimpled (like cellulite)

Fat tissue develops nodules (small lumps)
Symptoms:

Increased pain and sensitivity

More noticeable swelling

Heaviness worsens
Stage 3: Advanced
Physical function can start to decline.
Appearance

Large fat lobules (overhanging tissue)

Significant enlargement of legs and/or arms

Skin may feel firmer due to fibrosis

Type 1- Pelvic/Buttocks Area of Body

Often mistaken for “pear-shaped” body type
Type 2-Buttocks to Knee
